Big Garden Birdwatch 2022 starts today and I’ve just taken part! This is my 12th year doing so and I look forward to it every year. It’s free, fun and a great way to be involved with keeping an eye on your local wildlife.
How do I take part?
Identify and count the number of wild birds visiting your garden for just one hour from Friday 28th – Sunday 30th January (pick a day that suits you), it’s so easy to do and gives you an hour of relaxation.
What if I don’t have a garden?
Don’t worry, you can still take part from your local greenspace, balcony or allotment.
Go grab a cuppa and relax watching our feathery friends! When your hour is finished record your findings here
Good for you. I’ve being doing it for years too, generally on the allotments or at home if the weather’s bad. xx

It’s interesting to see the birds at the allotments, a nice mix of small birds and plenty of wood pigeons – surprise surprise!
