Allotment

Allotment Shed Makeover

Blogging took a back seat last year for one reason or another, and I guess the allotment did a bit too. The weeding side of things started to slide by summer but I am back on top of it after spending time at the allotment here and there over winter, it’s amazing what can be done when there’s hardly anyone there to natter with.

One of the jobs I did complete last year was to refresh the tired-looking shed paint on Plot 4, I’m so glad I did, particularly after such a wet autumn and now winter. You may notice the shed looking a bit different to usual….

I love the new purple colour, it compliments the flowers of buddleja davidii Black Knight growing next to the shed beautifully, in fact all the flowers looked lovely against the darker paint. It certainly helps to hide my muddy hand prints!

Buddleja davidii Black Knight, the most striking deep purple with orange eyes – utterly gorgeous!

If you’re looking for a new shed then you might want to take a look at Waltons article, How to choose the right shed: 5 tips from the experts. It’s packed full of great advice from other bloggers and vloggers and there are some lovely sheds to chose on their website.
