Although we head into the new year on lockdown and skating on thin ice with this rotten virus, I sincerely hope 2021 will be kinder to us all.

I’ve had an allotment since 2011 and currently have 2 plots backing on to each other. The allotment site is small and friendly, nestled right in the heart of a small rural village in Bedfordshire. I’m totally hooked on growing food (and a bit obsessed with growing pumpkins and winter squash!) and use the ‘no dig’ approach to gardening. The aim of this blog is to document the growing year on my allotments, share the ups and downs of allotment life and hopefully inspire others to get an allotment too!
