Little Blue Shed

The new shed on Plot 11w is now a lovely shade of blue! So far it’s had two coats of paint and will probably need a third to completely cover the new shed orange look.

In case anyone is interested in the brand and shade of paint I used it’s Cuprinol Forget-Me-Not. I decided on this colour/shade because I love blue sheds (I have no idea why) and in memory of my German Shepherd who loved to visit the allotment with me.

I don’t think Forget-Me-Not is one of the most popular shades from the Cuprinol range, it seems Seagrass is all the rage at the moment (and quite rightly so, it’s a gorgeous colour) but I’m very happy I chose it. If you’re after a true blue shed paint without any hint of green whatsoever, this shade is for you.

  1. I’ve previously used that shade, which is lovely, though not on a shed. I did, however use their deeper blue – Iris – on our then pergola (in 1992) and have spent years trying to cover it up with other colours, with little success, so I can speak for its long-lasting qualities. 😦

    1. Iris is lovely too and as you say a much deeper blue. I can imagine it would be difficult to cover it but after such a long time it goes to show how good this paint is! My other shed is Cuprinol Country Cream and still looks ok to me but I might pop another coat on if I get time before winter sets in.
